The call for speakers is now open and we invite you to register your interest to speak at the third edition of the Foam Expo Europe Conference through our online form.

The Foam Expo Europe conference is an industry-led event with a range of keynote presentations, panel discussions and interviews featuring key experts from the supply chain. After the success of our 360 stage at the 2019 show, we will be working on a number of interactive roundtable discussions and activities to better connect the audience with the presenter. Our speakers represent the entirety of the foam supply chain with an emphasis on end user markets (automotive, construction, aerospace, sports and leisure, medical to name a few) as well as a range of manufacturers, converter/fabricators and raw material suppliers. Submit a proposal to join our expert speaking faculty and join the conversation in solving key industry challenges. The research for the full agenda is ongoing and we welcome your input.


Possible agenda topics for Foam Expo Europe Conference:

  • Sustainability and circular economy
  • Recycling, repurposing and waste management solutions
  • Bio-based and bio-degradable materials
  • Foam processing improvements such as die cutting, extrusion, converting, cell size reduction, steamless molding and foam simulation
  • Additive manufacturing and similarly disruptive technologies
  • Foam adhesive and bonding solutions, material specifications and requirements
  • Foam lightweighting and property improvement
  • Blowing agent, REACH and volatile organic compound (VOC) regulatory updates
  • Testing standardisation and quality analysis
  • End user requirements such as novelty or new applications
  • Noise vibration harshness (NVH) and vehicle electrification including thermal management and other key challenges
  • Industry 4.0, automation and digitisation
  • Material research and development for high performance foams
  • Flame retardancy, foam property improvement and additives

Deadlines & Selection Criteria 

  • Speaking slots are allocated on merit and relevance to the topics on the agenda
  • Commercial presentations – such as product or company reviews – will not be accepted
  • There are no registration fees to take up this opportunity
  • Speaking slot timings and formats will be finalised as the program is completed, depending on the subject matter to be addressed.
  • The deadline for submissions is Wednesday 15 July 2020
  • We will endeavour to review all submissions within 6-8 weeks after the deadline

Submissions will be evaluated in terms of:

  • Importance of topic to conference attendees
  • Inclusion of an end user as either lead or co-presenter
  • Objective, educational, non-commercial content
  • Clearly defined benefits for attendees 
  • Knowledge and experience of the speaker
