Call for speakers for Foam Expo Europe 2021 is open! 

We are currently developing the agenda for the free-to-attend conference at Foam Expo Europe Conference 2021. We invite you to help shape the agenda, with input on the industry challenges opportunities and topics that are most pressing to the industry currently. Share new session ideas and submit your talk proposals via the online form before Friday 4 June 2021 to be considered. 


The 2021 conference will focus on the following topics but is not limited to them:

  • Industry trends such as:
    • Regulatory updates and innovation for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
    • Lightweighting
    • Flammability
    • Sustainable, biodegradable and bio-based materials
    • Recycling
    • Raw material/supply chain challenges
  • End user application requirements
  • Innovative technology/research ready for commercialization
  • Costs and industry financial issues, such as economic forecasting or reducing material and equipment costs
  • Regulatory impact on the industry, industry standards and government incentives
  • Technical and novelty applications of foams
  • Material properties of foams
  • Challenges and opportunities for additives, including property improvement, flammability, foam compounds and new innovations
  • Material evaluation of different rigid and flexible foam material offerings and innovations
  • Strategies for eliminating hazardous materials
  • Process improvement, cost saving, innovation, and best practice of foam moulding and fabrication
  • Testing and quality analysis
  • Automation and digitalization

Deadlines & selection criteria 

  • Speaking slots are allocated on merit and relevance to the topics on the agenda
  • Commercial presentations – such as product or company reviews – will not be accepted
  • There are no registration fees to take up this opportunity
  • Speaking slot timings and formats will be finalised as the program is completed, depending on the subject matter to be addressed
  • The deadline for submissions is Friday 4 June 2021
  • We will endeavor to review all submissions within 6-8 weeks after the deadline

Submissions will be evaluated in terms of:

  • Importance of topic to conference attendees
  • Inclusion of an end user as either lead or co-presenter
  • Objective, educational, non-commercial content
  • Clearly defined benefits for attendees 
  • Knowledge and experience of the speaker
